Troy vs. The Illiad

Achilles, a Greek warrior. He is the main character for The Iliad and the movie Troy.

In the the book and movie there are a few differences. For instance the priest is a priestess and Achilles love interest, unlike the book where the Priest's daughter is Agamemnon's "girl" and then takes Achilles "girl" because he has to give back the priest's daughter. Also the book ends with Hector's funeral. The movie wraps up the story with the Trojan horse going into Troy and the Greeks killing everyone, and then the movie ends with Achilles being killed and then they show is funeral, and Odysseus who talks about his story, setting up for the Odyssey Epic.

But besides those few things here and there, the movie and book are close to being the same, Achilles still hates Agamemnon, his cousin dies, and Achilles avenges him by killing Hector. The fights are the same, and the god's are involved but not exactly like the book, the god's don't visits them in the movie but they're still involved to and extent.

And those are a few of the comparisons and differences in the Iliad and Tory.
